Bishop Frank L. Stewart is the Pastor, President and Founder of ZOE Christian Fellowship of Los Angeles. The church began in 1984 with 91 members. Over the past twenty-two (22) years, the membership has grown into a dynamic and anointed ministry making a powerful impact locally, nationally, and internationally.
Bishop Stewart was ordained in 1967 under his uncle, Bishop E. B. Stewart, the Bishop of the First Jurisdiction in Northern California of the Churches of God In Christ. He also served as Assistant Pastor for six months at Mount Olive Churches of God in Christ after the death of his uncle. He started full time ministry in January 1976, working for 5 1/2 years as the Assistant Pastor to Dr. Frederick K.C. Price, at the Crenshaw Christian Center.
The next phase of his ministry consisted of three (3) years as a full time Evangelist, traveling throughout many parts of the United States and the World. He has conducted Leadership Seminars among church leaders in Sweden, the Philippines, China, Japan, Africa and Israel.
Bishop Stewart has been instrumental in the birth of many ministries. He is president and founder of The Association of ZOE Christian Fellowship Ministries International, which is a primary vehicle for planting churches. The Association currently consists of 22 independent ZOE churches under its jurisdiction. The one word that would best describe the mission of the Association of ZOE Christian Fellowship Ministries International is purpose. The mission of the Association is to help believers to optimize their lives and the lives of others and become more effective Christians through knowledge and fulfillment of their God-given purpose. Bishop Stewart established ZOE Christian Leadership Training Institute, a personal management and leadership training school for adults similar to a Dale Carnegie School with a Christian emphasis. The Training Center is now in its 23rd year. It is also in the process of expanding throughout different parts of the world. The Training Institute is a primary avenue for implementing Bishop Stewart’s emphasis on divine purpose and Christian leadership development.
Author of several books, Bishop Stewart has been instrumental in establishing many other works that find solutions and benefit the church and the community, including the Life Community Service Center, and a church and ministry for homeless individuals. Recently, Bishop Stewart has begun two new works – a radio and television broadcast, and BAFCA Int’l (Black American Family Christian Agenda), both of which emphasize the importance of African Americans developing more self-interest for the Black community as a whole.
Bishop Stewart is the husband to Charlene V. Stewart, with three children, four grandchildren and his local church family.
